The Emily Laws School of Acting (ELSA)

ELSA is currently the longest established Acting school on the

Fylde Coast. Pupils are welcome from age 5 to Adult. Classes on

Saturdays are split into age/experience. Students are encouraged

to 'Reach for the Stars' without losing sight of their feet!

No-one is excluded. ELSA prides itself on encouraging talent,

loyalty and commitment. If there are monetary issues for a talented

and committed individual we can offer financial exclusion. No other

school currently has this dedication to young talent.

We offer classes and private tuition. We offer packages for schools

such as Workshops and Holiday Clubs.

ELSA students have the opportunity to take part in 4 productions a

year. They are also encouraged to take part in additional

productions with other societies and concert parties to expand their

experience. This philosophy is unique to ELSA. There is a strong

focus on live performance.

At least once a year students are entered for LAMDA examinations

in Acting, Musical Theatre, The Speaking of Verse and Prose,

Improvisation, Choral Speaking or Mime. These examinations are

accredited and give students an opportunity to have their skills

assessed and acknowledged.
